an image"I CHOSE - WITHOUT VIOLENCE" - MODEL FOR EMPOWERMENT AND PREVENTION OF AGGRESSION AND VIOLENCE IN SCHOOL
The project is directed to organization and implementation of an innovative model for creating an active youth volunteer structure unified by training and motivated desire for cooperation with school and police structures and aimed against violence in schools. Through the set up of a youth volunteer pool "I chose - without violence" from students with behavioral deviations from the town of Smolyan and Zlatograd it is supported the empowerment of young people in providing a safe environment in Bulgarian schools, as they themselves are actively involved in preventing violence in terms of school and community. The project stimulates social activity of young people with behavioral deviations for entering in the structure of the school government as a form of civic participation and control.

an image Important part of the project is the idea for a transformation of the role of trainer to consultant and provision of support from the Ministry of Interior to create conditions for joint action against violence in schools. As the previous, the proposed project is aimed at effective prevention, re-socialization and integration into society of children and young perpetrators of antisocial behavior and rehabilitation of child victims of crimes against person and property. The difference is in the upgrade and new approach to the problem. In the proposed project the core group includes deviant children who participated in the previous project and so from objects they become subjects of impact on their peers. The main innovation of the proposed project is the exchange of skills and competences for dealing with anger and aggression of 15 adolescents with deviations in behavior, acquired from trained police officers, to their peers from Zlatograd.
